We’re looking for a New Business Director to join our new business & marketing team here at Freestyle.

 

 

The role.

We’ve got exciting growth plans, and in order to realise those, we need a superstar New Business Director to take us to the next level… to really take ownership of developing and implementing New Business strategies that are aligned to our company goals and objectives. 

In essence, we’ll look to you to identify and close new opportunities that enable us to smash our targets! 

As our New Business Director, you’ll be tenacious and hungry when it comes to generating new business, opening and closing deals, and forging strong, long-lasting relationships with clients - qualities that you’ll prove to us to have time and time again!

Supported by the Marketing and Client Services teams, you’ll build a lead generation strategy, find new and innovative ways to seek out potential new clients, open new doors, and secure new opportunities.

As we grow and evolve, you’ll work in conjunction with the Technical and Strategy Directors to ensure that we’re constantly innovating and communicating our service offering – maximising on opportunities at every corner. Together you’ll keep abreast of trends, market conditions and client needs to provide strategic advice to our prospects, ensuring that at every point we’re maximising the odds of winning pitches.

We’re totally aware that this is no small task, but rest assured we’re here to support you via external training and mentoring, as well as internal training and coaching, to ensure that you have all the tools you need to absolutely nail it.

What the day-to-day might look like.

Objectives of this role

  • Owning our "New from New business" pipeline and developing new business opportunities
  • Setting and hitting a new business target for the team
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
  • Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets
  • Develop strategies for new prospect acquisition that assist in lead generation and in opening doors with prospects
  • Motivate and mentor the new business team, working together to track team targets


Daily and monthly responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with internal stakeholders to discuss shifts and flex in service offering, pricing etc... based on findings
  • Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources
  • Generate new leads, identify decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals in line with strategies, lead and facilitate pitch logistics
  • Pitch, negotiate and close deals with the team and individually. 
  • Retain light touch relationships with all secured clients alongside Client Service teams
  • Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices across the company
  • Develop a Value-Based Pricing mechanism for identifying prospect value, and negotiate prices for bids and proposals
  • Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations
  • Work with other New Business team members to divide and conquer, seeking opportunities that best fit your individual skills.
